In 2015, our painting group traveled to the Avalon Peninsula.  Most of the places we painted: Salmon Cove, Heart’s Delight, Upper Island Cove, Bare Need, and Brigus were all within an hour’s drive from our home base at Green’s Harbour on Trinity Bay. My favorite place was Upper Island Cove, where the green sheep fields sloped down towards steep jutting rocks that lean out into the crashing waves off the Labrador Sea.
