In 2013 I took part in a small group show called ‘View From the Hill and Beyond', scenes of Guelph starting from the Basilica of Our Lady, the imposing Catholic church perched on the hill at the edge of downtown. My focus for this two-year painting project was on the limestone churches, buildings and bridges that are physical reminders of Guelph's rich history. Occasionally my eyes wandered to other points of interest, from the beautiful blooming magnolia trees in front of Einstein's Cafe to the city skyline from various vantage points.
